About Berkshire Diamond and Design
Berkshire Diamonds & Design, located in Surprise, AZ, is one of the leading jewelry stores serving Surprise, Peoria, Glendale, Sun City, and surrounding areas since 2019.
We are family-owned and operated and offer fine jewelry, loose diamonds, bridal and engagement rings, fashion jewelry, custom design, and on-site repair, as well as watches and watch services.
We carry designer brands such as Samuel B, Bulova, and various others. Mike Raby , the owner, has nearly 30+ years of experience in the jewelry business. His vision is to provide uncompromised customer service in a no-pressure, friendly environment. “ Nobody buys jewelry for someone they don’t care about”.
It is exciting to be part of a growing community, get to know local families, and help people with a very emotional purchase. It does not matter the cost of a beautiful piece of jewelry; the emotion is the same. It all comes down to “love”.

Michael Raby
I am a proud husband of 30+ years to my amazing wife Lisa and the father of three outstanding children. Hannah, Samantha, and Michael Jr. We are grandparents and enjoying every minute of it.
My family and I have lived in Surprise AZ for almost 20+ years now. We have watched Surprise grow and prosper into the City it is today. The name Berkshire comes from The Berkshires of Massachusetts where our family came from before re-locating to Arizona.
Lisa my beautiful wife has the patience of an angel and without her strength and guidance in good times and bad I would not have the strength to live the wonderful life I live.
My favorite sport is Baseball and favorite team in the Boston Red Sox. I enjoy going to spring training games in Surprise with my son as well as Diamondbacks games. I LOVE riding my Harley, enjoy music and playing guitar in my spare time. I like to play golf (if that’s what you call it). I have enjoyed watching the culture and philosophy change into a well-rounded baseball family.
